Bobby Pierce reached victory lane Saturday at Tri-City.
What won the race: Bobby Pierce of Oakwood, Ill., overtook early leader Shannon Babb and cruised to a $3,000 victory in the weekend tripleheader finale at Tri-City Speedway. Pierce finished a straightaway ahead of Friday's winner Chris Simpson with track champ Gordy Gundaker in third.
Quotable: "We've been so close all weekend," Pierce said, "and finally getting a win kind of pays everything off and makes us feel really good."
Key notes: Pierce won the finale after sweeping all three Late Model races of Mod Mania each of the last two seasons. ...
