What won the race: Pulling away after the sixth and final caution, Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga., completed a flag-to-flag victory in the Late Model Sportsman main event. The dominating Smith had to hold off Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., during a three-lap shootout following a lap-47 caution. Johnson held on to finish second ahead of a charging Joseph Brown, of Columbus, Ga., who started 13th.
Key notes: The Late Model Sportsman feature is on the undercard of the National 100 weekend, highlighted by a $20,000-to-win Super Late Model event. ... Saturday's Late Model Sportsman time trials locked in the top 16 drivers with Sunday consolation races filling the 24-car field. ... Several division drivers were also competing in the Super Late Model division including Mark Whitener and Clint Smith are among drivers competing in multiple divisions.

PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Sunday’s results for the Late Model Sportsman division at East Alabama Motor Speedway’s 43rd annual National 100, a $5,000-to-win event at the 3/8-mile oval:

Polesitter Montana Dudley of Smith Station, Ala., finished fourth, while 12th-starting Joseph Joiner of Milton, Fla., completed the top five. Smith, who started on the outside front row, earned $5,000 for the victory. He finished .470 seconds ahead of Johnson.
