PHENIX CITY, Ala. — Sunday’s results for the Late Model Sportsman division at East Alabama Motor Speedway’s 43rd annual National 100, a $5,000-to-win event at the 3/8-mile oval:

Pulling away after the sixth and final caution, Clint Smith of Senoia, Ga., completed a flag-to-flag victory in the Late Model Sportsman main event. The dominating Smith had to hold off Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., during a three-lap shootout following a lap-47 caution. Johnson held on to finish second ahead of a charging Joseph Brown, of Columbus, Ga., who started 13th.
Polesitter Montana Dudley of Smith Station, Ala., finished fourth, while 12th-starting Joseph Joiner of Milton, Fla., completed the top five. Smith, who started on the outside front row, earned $5,000 for the victory. He finished .470 seconds ahead of Johnson.
