What won the race: Polesitter Travis Pennington of Stapleton, Ga., earned $3,000 Saturday at Screven Motor Speedway in the season opener on the Fastrak Racing Series. Pennington took the checkers a half-second ahead of fellow front-row starter Ben Faircloth.
Key notes: The race was rescheduled after Feb. 9-10 action at Screven was scrapped because of wet weather. ... That weekend was also supposed to include the World of Outlaws Craftsman Late Model Series, but tour dates for the Super Late Models weren't rescheduled. ... Virginia youngster Logan Roberson was back in action after a wreck earlier in the month at East Bay Raceway Park sent him briefly to the hospital.
On the move: Josh Henry of Newport, Tenn., started 18th and finished 11th.
