What won the race: Cory Hedgecock of Loudon, Tenn., drove to a season-opening UCRA victory at I-75 Raceway on Saturday night. Hedgecock earned $2,000 in outrunning Jimmy Elliott of Cleveland, Tenn., in the Spring Loaded Easter 40 with Ruben Mayfield of Lenoir City, Tenn., placing third.
Key notes: The 25-year-old Hedgecock his third overall Dirt Late Model victory of the young 2018 campaign. ... It was the season opener for both I-75 and the UCRA crate tour. … This was the first of two stops the series will make at I-75 this season.
