Key notes: Baker registered his second Comp Cams triumph of 2018 and the fifth of his career. His previous score came on March 23 at Old No. 1 Speedway in Harrisburg, Ark. ... Polesitter Jon Mitchell was the race's first leader before being overtaken by Gavin Landers, whose bid for his first-ever Comp Cams win ended abruptly on lap eight when he tangled with a lapped car. ... Sullivan led a bulk of the feature's laps before falling short of what would have been his series-leading third victory of 2018. ... The Comp Cams tour visited the Vivian, La., oval for the ninth time.
On the move: Winner Robert Baker advanced from the 12th starting spot to earn hard-charger honors.
Winner's sponsors: Baker's Black Diamond Chassis is powered by a Marks Racing Engine and sponsored by D.B. Enterprises, Henryetta Ford, Dick Mooney Crane Services, TinTek Gutters and Siding, Razor Edge Graphics and Mid-State Golf Cars.
