What won the race: Polesitter Casey Roberts of Toccoa, Ga., led all the way for a $3,000 victory, taking the checkers ahead of a rallying Kennie Compton Jr. of Bland, Va.
Key notes: Compton closed to Roberts' back bumper with five laps remaining and dueled with the race-long leader until the finish, but his last-ditch effort came up short. ... Local ace David Payne overtook Shawn Chastain for third on the final lap. ...
