Ricky Weeks got out the broom on Memorial Day weekend.
What won the race: Completing a three-leg North Carolina sweep of the Blue Ridge Outaw Late Model tour's Three Days of Thunder, Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., rolled to a 1.167-second victory over Dan Breuer Sunday at Harris Speedway. Weeks collected $1,200 for the third straight evening following a Friday victory at Antioch Speedway and a Saturday victory at East Lincoln Speedway.
Key notes: Weeks won his series-high fourth race of the season and third of the weekend while wrapping up the Three Days of Thunder title. He earned a $1,000 bonus for winning the weekend miniseries. … Brian Carswell of Valdese, N.C., set fast time and won the dash, but completed only 15 laps after starting from the pole. … Seven of the 13 starters completed all 25 circuits. … The series returns to Harris on July 7, Sept. 2 and Sept. 8.
