Dakota Berry picked up his second High Plains victory.
What won the race: Polesitter Dakota Berry of Grand Junction, Colo., won his second High Plains Late Model Series race of the season, topping Scott Rhoades at I-76 Speedway Saturday. Berry earned $1,000 for the victory.
Key notes: It was Berry’s third career victory on the second-year tour. His previous tour wins came at Phillips County Raceway in Holyoke, Colo., on May 26 and last season on Sept. 30, 2017. … This was the first of five visits to I-76 for the High Plains Series this season. The tour returns July 3, Aug. 4., Sept. 1 and Oct. 6.
On the move: Angel Munoz finished third after starting seventh.
