Brian "Meathead" Carswell grabbed a victory in Lancaster, S.C.
What won the race: Ending a four-race winning streak for Ricky Weeks with the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models, Brian Carswell of Valdese, N.C., recorded a perfect night in racing to a $1,200 victory Saturday at Lancaster Speedway. Weeks settled for second while Mike Huey rounded out the podium.
Key notes: Carswell won his third series event; he previously triumphed April 14 at Sumter (S.C.) Speedway and Antioch (N.C.) Speedway. ... Carswell was nearly a full second faster than his nearest competitor in qualifying and also won the dash. ... Reggie Primus and Jimmy Mac did not start the feature. ... Lancaster hosted its second of three events; the final program is set for Sept. 15.
