What won the race: Al Purkey of Coffeyville, Kan., overtook Kanyan Methvin with five laps remaining Saturday at North Central Arkansas Speedway and collected his series-leading third Southern Outlaw Late Model Series victory of the season.
Key notes: Purkey's previous series victories came May 27 at Monett (Mo.) Motor Speedway and June 16 at Centerville (Ark.) Speedway. ... Kanyan Methvin led the first 25 laps; he ended up third behind Purkey and runner-up Eddie Hoyer. ... Hank Long was running second when he spun out of contention on lap 23. ...
