Jesse Stovall heads for victory at North Central Arkansas.
What won the race: Polesitter Jesse Stovall of Galena, Mo., charged to the lead at the drop of the green and led all 35 laps for his seventh career Comp Cams victory and first since Oct. 5, 2012, at Thunderbird Speedway in Muskogee, Okla. He earned $2,000.
Key notes: Stovall became the 10th series winner on the 2014 season. ... The race was slowed by cautions on laps two and 26. ... The Flippin, Ark., oval hosts the lone weekend event for the series after Saturday's Rockabilly 45 at Northeast Arkansas Speedway was canceled. ... Frank Hottes of North Arkansas Racing Fuel offered five-gallon pails of Renegade Late Model Elite fuel to the fourth-, fifth- and sixth-place finishers.
On the move: Points leader Kyle Beard of Truman, Ark., charged from the 10th starting spot to finish third.
Winner's sponsors: Stovall pilots a Victory Circle Chassis with sponsorship from Swafford's Service, Rushin Towing and Hendrick Buick-Cadillack-GMC.
Points chase: Entering the event, Beard had 1,264 points to lead Tommy Surrett (-36 points) and Clay Fisher (-42 points).
