What won the race: Winning his third Mississippi State Championship feature of the season, Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., outran Brian Rickman for a $2,000 series triumph at Hattiesburg Speedway on Friday. Brian Rickman finished second ahead of his brother Rick Rickman.
Key notes: Thrash finished four-tenths of a second ahead of Brian Rickman. … Eight of the 11 starters finished the race, all on the lead lap. … The win was Thrash’s second in as many weeks. He won last week at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway to go along with his March 31 win at Magnolia Motor Speedway in Columbus, Miss. … Hattiesburg hosted the MSCCS tour for the third of four scheduled visits this season. … Michael Arnold of Hattiesburg and Neil Baggett of Columbus, Miss., have wins at Hattiesburg this season.
