What won the race: After lowering the track record, Dane Dacus of Lakeland, Tenn., led every lap Saturday at Whynot Motorsports Park for a $2,500 Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory.
Key notes: Dacus scored his third career MSCCS victory and first since winning at Whynot last September. ... His other tour victory came at Jackson. ... Dacus lowered the track record in time trials with a 12.097-second lap. ... Hometown driver Chad Thrash spun on the first start and had to go to the tail; he rallied back to finish third. ...
