What won the race: Winning a late-race duel with Chub Frank, Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., captured Saturday’s Zimmer's United Late Model Series main event at Genesee Speedway for his series-best eighth victory of the season. Blair earned $3,000 while Frank settled for second and Friday’s ULMS winner Boom Briggs was third.
Key notes: Max Blair finished 2.666 seconds ahead of Chub Frank. … The second-starting Frank grabbed the lead at the start and paced the first 23 laps of the 30-lap feature. … Blair went from fourth to second in a four-lap span and then ran down Frank, taking the lead on lap 24. … With the win, Blair moved by his father Rob Blair to become the tour’s winningest driver. Max Blair has 17 ULMS victories. … Blair has won eight of 14 ULMS races this season and is the tour’s only repeat winner.
On the move: Doug Eck of Corry, Pa., started 13th and finished eighth.
