What won the race: Polesitter Chad Thrash of Meridian, Miss., dominated the 50-lap event, earning $2,500 for his sixth career Mississippi State Championship Challenge Series victory.
Key notes: Scheduled to start eighth, Ronny Lee Hollingsworth of Northport, Ala., scratched from the event. ... Thrash earned his first series win at Columbus; his previous MSCCS victory came June 16, 2012, at Greenville (Miss.) Speedway. ... Josh Putnam was running third but retired on the 16th lap with a flat tire after contact with Brian Rickman. ... The 50-lapper was slowed by a four cautions. ...
