What won the race: Taking over for good when challenger Peyton Freeman tagged the wall on lap 19, Adam Smith of Carnesville, Ga., led the rest of the way for his first career Fastrak Racing Series victory. Smith beat David McCoy and Brett Hamm to the finish to earn a $2,000 payday.
Quotable: “I don’t know if me and (Peyton) Freeman got together or whatever. He seemed like he was a little upset when I pulled in,” winner Adam Smith said. “But we’s just hard racing for $2,000 here, so I hope it ain’t no hard feelings.”
