What won the race: Leading all the way from the pole, Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., won Saturday’s Blue Ridge Outlaws feature at Antioch. Weeks outran fellow front-row starter David Minton to earn $1,200.
Quotable: “My car was just great tonight,” winner Ricky Weeks said. “It was just flawless from the time we unloaded it ’till the time we loaded it up. Hat’s off to my crew that makes this possible. You enjoy those nights, ‘cause it ain’t always that way.”
Key notes: After spinning to avoid Bryson Harper early in the race, Tommy Jones of Sheppard’s Cross Roads, N.C., rallied from the rear of the field to finish third. … Weeks picked up his series-leading ninth Blue Ridge series win of the season and third at Antioch as the tour made its fourth of seven scheduled stops there. … Originally the second night of the series weekend tripleheader, Antioch was the weekend opener after Friday’s race at Carolina Speedway in Gastonia, N.C., was rained out. … The series shifts to the home track of Weeks, Harris Speedway in Rutherfordton, N.C., on Sunday. … A handful of late-season schedule additions have pushed the slate on the first-year tour to 29 events. … Eight series races remain after Antioch.
