What won the race: Winning his second straight Southeastern Late Model Sportsman Series race, Kenny Collins of Colbert, Ga., topped fast qualifier Ben Watkins for a $2,000 victory Saturday at Screven Motor Speedway. Nick Schlager rounded out the podium.
Key notes: Nine of the 15 starters completed all 30 laps. ... Kenny Collins, the 2013 series champion, has nine career Southeastern Series wins at eight different tracks. … His ninth victory came just five days after winning at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C. (Sept. 3). … His Tri-County win, however, snapped a one year and 51 week series winless streak dating to Sept. 10, 2016.
