A.J. Diemel won $2,000 Friday at Cedar Lake.
What won the race: Picking up where he left off in last season’s Legendary 100, A.J. Diemel of Elk Mound, Wis., won Friday’s 30-lap weekend opener for NASCAR Late Models at Cedar Lake Speedway. Diemel, who swept both features last year, outran Rick Hanestad for a $2,000 victory. Hometown driver Pat Doar was third.
