What won the race: Leading flag-to-flag, polesitter Jeff Robinson of Greenwood, S.C., picked up the victory in Friday’s Alpha Art Thunder Dirt Series at Travelers Rest Speedway. Robinson earned $2,000 in outrunning fast qualifier Dale Timms, who started third. Ninth-starting Cody Overton completed the top three.
Key notes: Robinson is the tour’s eighth winner in eight races. … The series visited Travelers Rest for the first time this season for race originally scheduled for Saturday, but moved up one day due approaching Hurricane Florence.
