What won the race: Charlie Sandercock of Belleville, Ontario, continued his dominance on the Vanderlaan Northeast Crate Late Model Alliance on Saturday with a $4,000 victory at Brighton Speedway. Sandercock completed a sweep of the two-day Applefest Shootout.
Key notes: Sandercock has now won all five combined events on the first-year Northeast Alliance circuit. ... Sandercock was able to pull away in a three-lap dash to the checkers and won by a margin of 1.170 seconds.
