Andy Nezworski heads for his third career tour victory.
What won the race: Outside front-row starter Andy Nezworski of Buffalo, Iowa, led all 40 laps Friday for a $2,000 victory in the Governor's Cup Iowa State Championship at Davenport Speedway, the season finale on the Deery Brothers Summer Series.
Quotable: “This was great,” said winner Andy Nezworski, whose best finish in five previous 2018 series starts had been ninth. “We’d had some struggles this year before we put in ‘old reliable,’ a motor I paid $3,500 for, and I think we’ve won five or six races with it.”
