What won the race: Doubling down at Berlin Raceway, Jeep Van Wormer of Pinconning, Mich., reached victory lane for the second consecutive week in American Ethanol Late Model Tour action at the dirt-covered asphalt track with a flag-to-flag win Saturday worth $5,000.
Quotable: "We had luck on our side tonight drawing the No. 1 (starting spot)," winner Jeep Van Wormer said. "The racetrack was great tonight. They did a great job from last week to this week. I'd like to say thanks to Berlin Raceway for spending a bunch of time getting it ready for this weekend."
Key notes: After coming on to lead the final 10 laps of the previous week's feature at Berlin, Van Wormer dominated all 40 laps Saturday. ... Rich Neiser chased Van Wormer under the checkered flag in the second of three straight Saturday events for the American Ethanol Tour at Berlin, which was transformed into a dirt track for a late-season series of races.
