What won the race: Boom Briggs of Bear Lake, Pa., recorded a $7,000 victory in Saturday's 14th annual Stephanie Eckl Memorial at Thunder Mountain Speedway. He stormed to the front of the field from the fifth starting spot and pulled away from the pack in the 40-lapper to win by 0.914 of a second over Franklin, Pa.'s Matt Lux.
Key notes: Briggs continued his recent winning ways, backing up his sweep of the doubleheader the previous weekend at Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa. ... Briggs, who finished second to Kyle Hardy in Friday night's weekend opener at Thunder Mountain, collected more than $20,000 in his last four races. ... Hardy settled for a sixth-place finish Saturday. ... Seventeen drivers completed 40 laps.
