What won the race: Polesitter Max Blair of Centerville, Pa., led all 25 laps for his third Sweeney Chevrolet RUSH Series victory of the season Saturday at McKean County Raceway's Fall Invitational. Blair earned $1,500 in his Crate Late Model while also sweeping the weekend's Super Late Model action.
Quotable: "It's been an awesome weekend," winner Max Blair said "We've been up here for years for this event and it's literally my favorite weekend of the entire year. I love this whole Fall Classic deal. I have to thank these guys for putting it on and all the fans for sticking it out — it's cold! You always look at the (score) board and I was wondering where Mike (Pegher) was. I seen he got into second there at the end and was just hoping for no more cautions because he's good at hitting those starts."
Key notes: Blair also clinched the $5,000 RUSH weekly title for the fourth time in six seasons. ... Blair's previous RUSH tour victories came at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar, Del. (the tour opener) and Eriez Speedway in Hammett, Pa. ... Blair's fellow front-row starter Jason Genco held the second spot in the first half of the race but slipped back to finish fourth.
Winner's sponsors: Blair’s Rocket Chassis is sponsored by Specialty Products, Murphy’s Logging, C&J Dairy, Previty’s Auto Wrecking, Upstate Auto Group, Sons of the American Legion Post 1460, Moody & Son Welding, Niemeyer’s Garage and Integra Racing Shocks.
Points chase: Entering the event, Jason Genco of Jamestown, N.Y. (1,116) leads Jeremy Wonderling (1,111), Brady Wonderling (1,074), Adam Ferri (997) and J.J. Mazur (957).
