Ricky Weeks picked up his 13th Blue Ridge triumph of the season.
What won the race: Rolling to his 13th series win of the season, polesitter Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., led every lap of Saturday’s Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models tour at East Lincoln Speedway. Weeks earned $1,200 for winning ahead of Dan Breuer and Brandon O’Neil.
Quotable: “We went with a little harder tire, so I went up (to the top of the track) where the tire would work,” said winner Ricky Weeks of his decision to start on the outside front row.
Key notes: Weeks won his third straight series race and fifth in the last six events; he has series victories in seven different months. … Series points leader David Minton started third, but had trouble and did not finish. … L.D. Shumate scratched from the action after qualifying. ...
