What won the race: Michael Brown of Pageland, S.C., held off Logan Roberson on Sunday at the Dirt Track at Charlotte for a $4,000 victory in the Crate Late Model portion of the Driven Racing Oil World Short Track Championship. Brown, who took the lead from Clay Harris on the second lap, won by 0.626 seconds.
Key notes: Brown led all but the first lap in the 30-lap feature; third-place finisher Clay Harris led the opening circuit. ... Runner-up Logan Roberson, the $20,000 Fastrak winner earlier in October at Virginia Motor Speedway, held the second spot from laps 8-30. ...
