Ricky Weeks continued his domination on the Blue Ridge circuit.
What won the race: Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., won his 15th Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models race of the season, topping Tony Ayers and Bryson Harper for a $1,200 victory at Sumter on Saturday.
Quotable: “I slowed down trying to make sure the tires stayed under it,” winner Ricky Weeks said. “This place was wearing tires pretty good, so I just started conserving my tires. The car was flawless. It’s been flawless all year long.”
Key notes: Sumter hosted the Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models tour for the third time this season. … Kerry Gibbons of Manning, S.C., won at Sumter on July 28 and Brian Carswell of Valdese, N.C., won there on April 14. … Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., has won 15 of the 28 series races this season.
