What won the race: Second-starting Joseph Brown of Columbus, Ga., topped polesitter Rhett Carter to win Sunday's seventh annual Early Bird 50 at Needmore Speedway. Brown earned $5,000 for his first career Early Bird triumph. John Baker finished third.
Key notes: Lavon Sloan of Moultrie, Ga., made his first start in three years. He finished 11th. … Kitt Sealy and Cameron Metts didn't start the feature. ...
