Scott James earned $4,000 for his victory in 411's Hangover.
What won the race: Grabbing another late-season victory at 411 Motor Speedway, Scott James of Bright, Ind., went back ahead on the 29th lap and led the final 12 circuits for Saturday's $4,000 Hangover victory. James started outside the front row and led most of the way of a race also led by Chicky Barton (leading when he pitted for a flat tire during a lap-16 caution) and Mack McCarter (hit wall leading on lap 28). Four cars finished.
Key notes: James earned $5,000 on Nov. 24 in his 411 debut on the Schaeffer's Iron-Man Championship Series. ... On Saturday, James led the first dozen laps before Chicky Barton took control; Barton pitted for a flat four laps later. ... Mack McCarter took the lead from James near halfway but was out when he hit the wall on lap 28. ... Polesitter David Crabtree (he lowered the track qualifying record) spun on the feature's first lap and retired after just two circuits. ... John Ownbey had a rollover accident in a consolation race; according to reports from his wife Ariana on Facebook, he was hospitalized overnight for concussion symptoms and tests revealed a "spot bleeding" on his brain. He was scheduled to be released by Sunday morning. ... Other drivers failing to make the feature: Tyler Bare, Stacy Boles, Glen Vanover and Steve Smith, who was involved in a consolation race wreck but wasn't hurt. ... Andy Ogle earned $1,500 for a victory in the Crate Late Model feature.
On the move: Runner-up Donald McIntosh of Dawsonville, Ga., started 15th.
