What won the race: Booger Brooks of Chattanooga, Tenn., collected $1,000 Friday in the season opener on the Red Clay Series for 602-engine Crate Late Models. Brooks led all the way and took the checkers ahead of Andrew Bailey and Buddy George.
Key notes: Fast qualifier Ryan King of Anniston, Ala., finished 21st after flattening a right-front tire late in the race. ...
