What won the race: Leading all 25 laps, polesitter Ricky Weeks of Rutherfordton, N.C., topped Brandon White to win Saturday’s Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Model Series main event at Carolina Speedway. Weeks earned $1,200 for his second series win of the season. Brandon O'Neil finished third.
Quotable: “My guy was showing me there when (Brandon White) caught me. I had kinda slowed down some and he caught me quick,” Weeks said. “Anyway, we had to turn the wick back up. He run a really good race. I like that guy a lot. He’s knocking on the door and it won’t be long before he’s winning.”
