What won the race: Soaring to his first career Carolina Clash Super Late Model Series win, Trent Ivey of Union, S.C., outran Polesitter Chris Ferguson in Friday’s Hall of Fame race at Carolina Speedway. Taking the checkers 3.416 seconds ahead of Ferguson, Ivey pocketed $4,000.
Key notes: Ivey inherited the top spot after race-leader Chris Ferguson made contact with a lapped car and was forced to the hot pit with a flat right-rear tire. … Ferguson rebounded to finish second. … A dozen drivers completed all 40-laps. ...
