Michael Page won the Southern All Star event at Senoia.
What won the race: Inheriting the lead after frontrunners Austin Horton and Clint Smith were sidelined by a tangle with a lapped car, Michael Page of Douglasville, Ga., raced to victory Saturday at Senoia Raceway for a $4,000 Southern All Star victory.
Quotable: “I appreciate the lapped cars that can hold their lines,” an irritated Horton said. “I hated the way ended for our team. We will be back, hate that it collected (Smith). This is all I have to say on it.”
Key notes: Page added his victory to a pair of Southern All Star victories last season at Senoia. ... He also won the night's Crate Late Model feature. ... Austin Horton started on the front row and was leading the eighth lap when the slower car of J.R. Moseley clipped Hortonn on the backstretch, sending Horton spinning and collecting second-running Clint Smith. ... Horton's car suffered significant damage and Page led the rest of the way. ... He won the 40-lap feature by 3.817 seconds over Riley Hickman. ... Series competitors are slated to return to Senoia on June 22.
Winner's sponsors: Page’s Stinger Race Car is powered by an Andy Durham Racing Engine and sponsored by Baird Transport, Elite Concrete, Baird Towing and T&T Trucking.
