What won the race: Making his Crate Late Model debut, hometown driver J.T. Seawright led 38 of 40 laps Saturday at Fort Payne Motor Speedway for a United Championship Racing Alliance victory. He earned $2,500.
Key notes: J.T. Seawright is a previous Super Late Model champion at Fort Payne. ... Seth Wimpley, who won the March 2 UCRA event at Fort Payne, led briefly but quickly dropped out of the top five and retired after contact with Kasey Hall that sent him into the track's concrete wall. ... The event was a makeup of a May 11 rainout. ... UCRA competitors return to Fort Payne on Aug. 24.
