What won the race: Starting outside the front row, Eric Cooley of Fulton, Miss., got the jump on polesitter Ronnie Johnson of Chattanooga, Tenn., on the third of three starts and led all 40 laps for a $2,000 victory.
Key notes: Two starts were scrapped before the race got rolling. Ronny Lee Hollingsworth spun in turn two on the first attempt, and Ronald Dunn spun in turn one for a pileup on the second attempt. ... Dunn's night was over. ...
