Matthew Nance took the checkers at Beckley Motorsports Park.
What won the race: Matthew Nance of Ronda, N.C., won his series-leading Blue Ridge Outlaw victory of the season Saturday at Beckley Motorsports Park. Nance took the checkers ahead of T.J. Salango and Mark Dysart.
Quotable: "We should've brought out Super (engine) car tonight," Nance said. "It was a lot heavier racetrack than I figured it would've been. We just couldn't get enough wheelspin on the cushion all night long, especially qualifying."
Key notes: Nance's previous 2019 victories came at Lancaster (S.C.) Speedway and Friendship Motor Speedway in Elkin, N.C. ... The series apologized for officials' calls and timing issues, saying they were decisions made by the track. ... Ricky Weeks scratched from the feature.
Winner's sponsors: Nance's Longhorn Chassis is sponsored by Crossroads Harley-Davidson, Diversified Finishers, Sheperds Home Improvement, Automotive Specialists, Tom Cat Performance, Ed's Cafe and Frontier Natural Gas.
Car count: 18
Polesitter: Matthew Nance
Next series race: May 24, 311 Motor Speedway (Pine Hall, NC) $1,200
