Rain after heats stops MLRA at Lake Ozark
Key notes: Rain that struck Lake Ozark Speedway after Saturday's three MLRA heat races were completed ultimately forced officials to pull the plug on the program. ... While the feature lineup was set, the 40-lap headliner will not be rescheduled because track and MLRA officials could not find a suitable date. MLRA officials called the event complete. Drivers received heat-race points for their finishes along with standard MLRA show-up points but no feature points will be awarded for the event. ... MLRA also announced that the full payout for the night was issued based on the drivers' scheduled starting positions; as a result, polesitter Will Vaught collected the $3,000 prize earmarked for the race winner. ... Saturday's show was the lone MLRA stop of the season scheduled for Lake Ozark. ... The series returns to action on June 14-15 with a doubleheader at Wisconsin's Beaver Dam Raceway and Iowa's Dubuque Speedway.
