Pat Doar captured Casino Speedway's Marilyn Olson Memorial.
What won the race: Pat Doar of New Richmond, Wis., tied John Kaanta atop the all-time series winner's list Sunday with a Wollak Construction WISSOTA Challenge Series victory at Casino Speedway. The outside front-row starter earned $2,071 in the Marilyn Olson Memorial.
Key notes: Doar's 31st series victory ties him with John Kaanta of Elk Mound, Wis., who moved into the series victories lead last season. ... Polesitter Brandon Moser finished 20th, the last among drivers running. ... Three cautions with nine laps remaining delayed Doar's victory. ... The series wrapped up a South Dakota weekend with its lone 2019 stop in Watertown, S.D. ... Kent Arment won Friday at Brown County Speedway in Aberdeen, S.D.; the tour was supposed to compete Saturday at Miller (S.D.) Central Speedway, but when several drivers protested track conditions, the race was run as a non-series event with Don Shaw winning.
On the move: Jesse Glenz of Fall Creek, Wis., started 10th and finished fourth (he ran as high as second).
Winner's sponsors: Doar’s Rocket Chassis is powered by a Vic Hill engine with sponsorship from Kivi Brothers Trucking, Polar Industries and Speedwerx Performance Exhaust.
Who to watch: Home-state driver Kent Arment, last year's series winner at Casino.
Points chase: The 2019 points chase began this weekend.
Expected entrants: Arment, Chad Mahder, Chad Becker, John Kaanta, Jake Redetzke, Don Shaw, A.J. Diemel, Steve Laursen, Jesse Glenz, Curt Gelling, Pat Doar and others.
Current weather: Sunny, 67°F
Car count: 24
Polesitter: Brandon Moser
Heat race winners: Curt Gelling, John Kaanta, A.J. Diemel
Consolation race winners: Chad Mahder
Provisional starters: Chad Becker, Kelly Duffy, Curt Kranz
