What won the race: Hometown driver and four-time track champ Clint Smith led all 50 laps Saturday at Senoia Raceway for a $3,000 victory on the National Late Model Super Car Series.
Quotable: “Super excited that we can still get it done,” the 54-year-old Smith said. “Every win is special never know when it’s the last one and one will be.”
Key notes: Smith notched his first victory of the season and first-ever with the series. ... Bubba Pollard chased Smith in second but spun on lap 30 when he clipped Smith's left-rear quarterpanel; Pollard retired. ... Austin Horton, who made contact with Pollard, held on to finish second. ... Senoia's Limited Late Model regulars were welcome to compete in the series event.
