J.R. Toner picked up his second career Mason-Dixon tour victory.
What won the race: Local racer and polesitter J.R. Toner of Bellefonte, Pa., turned back Mason-Dixon Shootout Series foes Friday at Clinton County Motor Speedway for a $1,000 victory. Toner led every lap and crossed the finish line 0.542 seconds ahead of runner-up Andrew Yoder.
Key notes: Toner also won on the Mason-Dixon tour in 2017 at CCMS. ... Matt Cochran ran second 23 laps but shredded a right-rear tire at the white flag, setting up a two-lap dash to the checkers. ... Clinton County hosted its lone series event of the season for the Limited Late Model tour. ... Series action continues tomorrow at Selinsgrove Speedway in conjunction with the KRS Graphics Tri-Track Challenge.
