What won the race: Surviving a tense, paint-swapping final circuit with Rick Eckert, Jamie Lathroum of Mechanicsville, Md., emerged victorious in Friday night's 30-lap Super Late Model Clash for Cash at Georgetown Speedway. The driver of Sommey Lacey's machine was neck-and-neck with Eckert at the white flag before drawing away to beat the York, Pa., driver to the finish line for the $3,500 top prize.

Quotable: “I don’t know if (Eckert) thinks I crowded him, but he didn’t seem too happy with me after the race,” Lathroum said.

Key notes: Lathroum captured his second feature of 2019; his previous checkered flag came on May 26 at Potomac Speedway in Budds Creek, Md. ...
