What won the race: Finally breaking down the door to victory lane on the Louisiana Late Model Racing Series after four runner-up finishes this season, Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, captured Saturday night's 30-lap tour feature at Chatham Speedway. The former World of Outlaws Morton Buildings Late Model Series regular beat Robbie Stuart to the finish line for a $2,000 payday and his first-ever triumph on the second-year circuit.
Key notes: Bagley's four previous second-place finishes in Louisiana Series action this season came at Showtime Speedway in Many, La. (April 26, May 17, July 5) and Thunder Valley Speedway in Glenmora, La. (May 25). ... Stuart's runner-up outing came after he won the tour's A-main the previous night at Showtime. ... The Louisiana Series made its second of six visits to Chatham Speedway this season to complete the tour's three-race holiday weekend. ... The series returns to Chatham Aug. 3, Aug. 31 and Oct. 18-19.
