What won the race: Sixth-starting Kerry Gibbons of Manning, S.C., won Saturday’s Blue Ridge Outlaw Late Models tour main event at Sumter Speedway. In finishing ahead of runner-up Mark Dysart, Gibbons earned $1,200 for his first series win of the season and third tour victory at Sumter.
Quotable: “I knew my luck was gonna be bad on that redraw, but I didn’t know it was gonna be that bad,” said fast qualifier Kerry Gibbons after drawing a six to start the feature. “It ended up working out.”
