Rain halts Mason-Dixon main at Winchester
Key notes: Rain hit after heat races, postponing the main event; the series announced Wednesday that the program will resume on Aug. 17 in addition to a second program featuring a 25-lap, $1,000-to-win main event. ... The Mason-Dixon Shootout Series made its second visit of the season and fourth in series history to Winchester Speedway. … Justin Weaver of Williamsport, Md., who has a series-best 10 career victories, won series visits to Winchester in 2017 and 2018. … The series was trying to return to action for the first time in five weeks following four July rainouts. … Crate Late Models modifieds, pure stocks and U-cars were also on the card and all the main events were rained out.
