Tanner Kellick gets dialed in at Chatham before Saturday's Louisiana Series win.
What won the race: Tanner Kellick of Mer Rouge, La., led all 30 laps at Chatham Speedway on Saturday for his first career victory with the Louisiana Late Model Series. Kellick finished 0.551 seconds ahead of runner-up Robbie Stuart to earn $2,000.
Key notes: The race was slowed by a single caution that set up a five-lap dash to the checkered flag. … Eight of the 18 starters completed 30 laps. … The series was back in action following a four-week hiatus, with Chatham hosting the second-year tour for the third time this season and the 10th time overall. … Jon Mitchell of Texarkana, Texas, won the series’ June 22 visit and Morgan Bagley of Longview, Texas, won the July 6 race.
