What won the race: Cory Dumpert of York, Neb., topped South Dakota’s Casey Skyberg on Saturday at Lincoln County Raceway in his first career start on the High Plains Late Model Series. Dumpert earned $1,000 as the Colorado-based tour concluded a two-race doubleheader in its first out-of-state trip.
Key notes: The High Plains Late Model Series visited Lincoln County for the second straight night as the tour is in the middle of a weekend tripleheader. … Skyberg, of Rapid City, S.D., won on Friday at Lincoln County, giving the series back-to-back first-time winners. … Track promoters Terry and Bobbi Flecher told KNOP-TV they were stepping down after the track's action the first weekend in August, citing lack of attendance and the desire to spend more time with family.
Winner's sponsors: Dumpert’s Swartz Race Car is powered by a Donrich Machine race engine and sponsored by Dekalb Hybrids, Trotter's Tire Pros, Progressive Fertilizer, Trotter Fertilizer, LG Pumping and Doran Post and Associates.
Car count: 22
Heat race winners: Zach Zentner, Casey Skyberg, Tyler Reagle
