What won the race: Executing a last-lap pass to perfection, Jesse Lowe of Crossville, Tenn., slipped by race-long leader Aaron Guinn to win Friday’s American Crate All-Star Series-sanctioned Hey Jack 40 at Crossville Speedway. Lowe beat Guinn to the line by 0.158 of a second to earn a $2,000 payday.
Key notes: Winning on the tour at his home track for the second time this season, Lowe picked up his fourth American Crate All-Star Series victory of 2019. … Guinn of Russellville, Tenn., led the race's first 39 laps after starting from the pole. … Ten of the 22 starters finished the race, all on the lead lap. … Slowed by nine cautions, the main event was a battle of attrition lasting more than 48 minutes. … Crossville’s Michael Smith was a start-and-park in the feature after discovering a busted radiator just moments before the main event.
On the move: Andy Ogle of Gatlinburg, Tenn., advanced nine positions and finished fourth at Crossville Speedway on Friday night.
