What won the race: Leading all the way from the pole position, Booger Brooks of Chattanooga, Tenn., won Saturday's Red Clay Series feature at I-75 Raceway. Brooks kept Matt Steward at bay while racing to a $1,500 victory at the 1/4-mile oval near Sweetwater, Tenn.
Key notes: Brooks scored his series-leading third victory of the season; his previous wins came March 29 at Talladega Short Track in Eastaboga, Ala., and June 28 at Tri-County Racetrack in Brasstown, N.C. ... Jacob Parris registered this third top-five finish of the season (all fourth-place finishes). He hasn’t finished worse than eighth. … Courtney Smith scratched from the feature. ... Cody Overton is the tour's only other winner this season. He won at North Georgia Speedway in Chatsworth, a race in which Brooks finished second.
