Taylor Farlling won Winchester’s makeup Mason-Dixon feature
What won the race: Taylor Farlling of Newville, Pa., overtook Kenny Yoder for the lead on lap 26 and marched on to capture Saturday night's held-over 30-lap Mason-Dixon Shootout Series feature at Winchester Speedway. Farlling earned $1,500 after beating Wes Bonebrake to the finish line for his first-ever victory on the Limited Late Model tour.
Key notes: Before gaining control of the race, Farlling, who started fourth, watched Kenny Yoder and James Lichliter battle for the top spot. Yoder led laps 1-3 and 13-25 while Lichliter paced laps 4-12. ... Lichliter headed to the pits on lap 25 while challenging Yoder for the lead. ... D.J. Myers of Greencastle, Pa., drove Daulton Bigler's No. 24 to a third-place finish. ... Only 16 of the 24 starters finished the feature, which was postponed by rain on its original Aug. 3 date. ... Sam Archer was slated to start 25th but he was unable to make the call for the A-main.
On the move: Devin Frey of Myerstown, Pa., advanced 15 positions to finish sixth.
